EXPERIMENTAL TIME
02-27.02.2024
Foton Galéria, Budapest
How important is the connection between the past and the present in experimental photography? How can traditional analog techniques be reinterpreted in the context of contemporary art? What is the energy footprint of analog image processing and how much waste does it generate? And what alternative, experimental processes can be used instead?
For Ákos Levente, Krisztina Bóka, Kíra Krász, and Fanni Orosz, experimentation is not just a technical and technological challenge, but a fundamental element of their artistic expression. In their currently exhibited works, they reflect on the traditions of analog and digital photography as well as on today's social and ecological problems, adding new dimensions to experimental photography.
The exhibition was opened by Ágnes Eperjesi, visual artist
Curator: Bíborka Emese Szakács
